Doctor Hua Tuo of China developed the five animal exercises and "adapted [them] to fighting techniques"(Green 16).

along with unarmed defense methods" and was discovered by European fighting experts(Green 317).

Martial Arts of the World gives information about the many different types of martial arts. It gives the meaning and explanation of each art and gives its background information. The details the book gives allow you to learn where different martial arts originated and how they became public. It shows how their techniques are used and why they use them.

The book was written to give information.

There is no bias because the book is all information about different types of martial arts.

There are references and it adds more credibility and accuracy because his information is more valid.
